Narrative description of Project:

Prepare investment map for the SMEs and conduct workshop to the potential investors to aware about the potentiality and business opportunities in the project area.

Description of actual services provided by your staff within the assignment:

·         Conducted environmental scanning of small and medium scale agro-industry/enterprises within the project districts, and analysed their potentials for scaling-up to enhance income and employment opportunities.

·         Identified investment opportunities with potentials and evaluated the economic, social and environmental impact of the investment using widely adopted.

·         Identified the potential role of private sector entrepreneurs in production, marketing, product development and quality enhancement through promotion of contract growing or other production-marketing schemes.

·         Developed appropriate investment guidelines (area for investment) for these potential SMEs, and organize a day workshop basically to potential investors and policy makers in order to aware them on the opportunities and potentialities of the region with respect to SME sector.

  • Provided recommendations to CADP and the government that will help promote private sectors’ investment in the project areas.
